TYO will unveil the latest installment of its new XR immersive music experience, “XR Magic Orchestra,” titled “XR Magic Orchestra / GAUS,” at an event held at OPENBASE SHIBUYA on Saturday, October 10, and Sunday, October 11, 2026. This event will be held as part of the partner program for “ARTE TOKYO (Tokyo International Festival of Arts and Culture),” a new arts and culture festival organized by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government and the Tokyo International Festival of Arts and Culture Executive Committee.

Features of the latest release, “XR Magic Orchestra / GAUS”

XR Magic Orchestra is a new program offering an immersive musical experience through XR. Based on the concept of “Moving from listening to music to experiencing it,” artists will present an unprecedented musical performance that invites the audience to participate and engage as they shift their perspective. Led by TYO drive producer Tadashi Umazume, this project is being developed as R&D focused on spatial computing.

In this latest work, performance footage captured at “DIG SHIBUYA 2026” this past February has been re-created in high resolution using the cutting-edge XR technology “Gaussian Splatting (3D Gaussian Splatting).” Furthermore, the content has evolved into an immersive XR music live experience enhanced with 3D AI-generated visuals. Participants can enjoy the 360-degree performance from any angle they choose on their own devices, with a completely free viewpoint.
“XR Magic Orchestra/GAUS” is produced by TYO drive, while the AI-generated 3D effects are handled by the REALIZE Division of TREE Digital Studio—a member of the KANAMEL Group known for its expertise in the comprehensive production of interactive content.
