Our company’s work was honored at the 63rd JAA Advertising Awards: Consumer-Selected Advertising Contest.
The JAA Advertising Awards Consumer-Selected Advertising Contest, hosted by the Japan Advertisers Association (JAA), is a comprehensive advertising award distinguished by its judging process: it excludes advertising professionals from the jury, instead having consumers—the recipients of advertising—evaluate entries from the perspective of everyday users. Established in 1961 as a contest for advertisements that benefit consumers, it emphasized its founding principle of being chosen by consumers, the recipients of advertising, and was renamed to its current title in 2015.
This year’s competition covered advertisements aired, displayed, or published in Japan from October 1, 2024, to September 30, 2025. A total of 996 entries were submitted across six categories: Print, Audio, OOH, and Film (Short Film, Mid-Length Film, and Feature Film). Under the judging criteria of “Does the advertisement evoke favorability, empathy, and familiarity? (Sensitivity)”, “Is the advertisement easy to understand and convincing? (Rationality)”, and “Does the advertisement demonstrate originality? (Creativity)”, 115 general consumer judges participated in the selection process over approximately one month, resulting in the awarding of prizes to a total of 67 works.
