Mika Sasaki, a member of WHOAREYOU, our creative team, was selected for the prestigious “Fabulous Five” competition at ADFEST 2025, one of Asia’s largest advertising festivals. Her directorial work IM PERFECTION received the COMMENDATION (Top Award).
Sasaki took the stage as a speaker at the “Fabulous Five” session held from March 20 to 22, 2025, in Pattaya, Thailand, where her film IM PERFECTION was premiered.

Mika Sasaki
Mika Sasaki is the youngest finalist of Fabulous Five. She joined TYO as a new graduate in April 2024, after studying English and American literature at university. She is currently working as a planner and director as part of TYO’s creative team, WHOAREYOU.

The Fabulous Five is a competitive session held by the Asia Pacific Advertising Festival (ADFEST) aimed at nurturing young commercial directors. It is considered a gateway for emerging directors from the Asia-Pacific and Middle East regions.
In this competition, scripts for short films of up to five minutes on a given theme are solicited. After a screening by judges from ADFEST’s Film Craft and New Director categories, five directors are selected to actually produce their films.
This year’s theme was “COLLiDE.” From six cities across the Asia-Pacific and Middle East regions, 26 scripts were submitted, and five directors—including Mika Sasaki—were chosen.
The five completed films are showcased on-site during the festival, where one director is awarded the COMMENDATION.
