TYO is also focusing on advertising video production and creative work utilizing generative AI technology. As a leading company in the video production industry, we have consistently been quick to adopt new technologies, adapting to the changing times while pursuing higher quality in visual expression. We have also launched an in-house project team researching the creative potential of generative AI video.
TYO has entered into a business partnership agreement with STUDIO D.O.G. GK, a studio led by Miho Kinomura, a creative director based in LA who is active globally and is also an AI Filmmaker.
This agreement strengthens the collaboration between TYO, which possesses intellectual property rights and other expertise gained from over 40 years of advertising video production, and STUDIO D.O.G., which has a proven track record of combining AI and fashion with cutting-edge technology. Leveraging their global networks, the partnership aims to create new value in advertising using generative AI technology and contribute to the advancement of the advertising industry.
October 2023 saw the emergence of AI chat services and the accelerated evolution of AI image generation technology, with its application in the advertising business sector also beginning to attract attention.
TYO and Studio DOG quickly produced PARCO’s Christmas season ad “HAPPY HOLIDAYS” as a fashion advertisement leveraging image-generating AI. Without any actual model shoots, it was composed solely using prompts (words to generate images). Everything from the people and backgrounds appearing in the graphic movie to the narration and music was completed using various cutting-edge generative AI technologies. This advertisement, which delivered the realism of actual photography while also creating surprise upon realizing it was “produced using generative AI technology,” garnered significant attention immediately after its release, being featured in numerous media outlets. It won the Excellence Award at the 29th AMD Award ’23.
Through this unprecedented challenge undertaken jointly by TYO and Studio DOG, they discovered the high affinity between creating fantastical worlds and generative AI technology, as well as its potential as a tool to expand human capabilities. This case study demonstrates how leveraging generative AI technology presents a new option for enhancing output quality.
TYO has sponsored the “NFFT Project,” an exhibition event showcasing the latest works utilizing generative AI technology organized by Studio DOG’s Mr. Kinomura, since its inception in 2022. TYO drive producer Tadashi Mazuki has participated as an executive committee member. Together with Studio DOG, we have continued NFFT, supporting digital creators and artists through AI art exhibitions themed around fashion and beauty. TYO’s in-house AI research project members, Mai Nonomura and Kaho Nakamura, also participate as AI creators, exploring the creative possibilities enabled by AI.
As of spring 2025, in addition to project-led events, TYO has participated in and held exhibition events at the SSFF & ASIA 2024 Creator Meetup Lounge booth and DIG SHIBUYA 2025.
TYO drive exhibited an AI art piece created by the company at the Cluster Contemporary Jewellery Fair 2024 (hosted by CLUSTER London), an art festival held in London. This work was featured in PROMPT MAGAZINE #Book12, a globally recognized AI design magazine published in Italy.
